THEY ARE ENDANGERED!

Britain's green spaces are endangered. Flood plains are being built upon, despite warning from the insurance sector. The Green belt is being developed. Playing fields are under siege, even while politicians talk about the importance of sports for children.
And in London, we are losing our gardens. Campaigners believe we are losing up to 30,000 gardens a year this way, the equivalent of twice the area of Hyde Park.
The protection once offered by planning laws has been eroded to such a degree that it is becoming almost impossible for citizens to prevent developers from building on green spaces.
