Here is a selection of local campaigns where residents are or have been actively involved in opposing irresponsible development of green spaces in the area. In some cases such as Avenue Gardens it has taken intensive campaigning and great perseverance by two local residents to achieve success. In other cases for instance residents in the Vale have created a web site around the issue and attracted media attention to their cause.
These examples clearly show how important residents initiatives are in our fight to preserve green spaces.
