THEY NEED OUR PROTECTION!
Every year, London is losing up to 30,000 gardens, equivalent to double the size of Hyde Park
At the moment, green spaces such as gardens or playing fields are designated as brownfield sites. This means developers can get permission to build on them more easily. We believe that green spaces are important for the environment and for our quality of life and we are committed to doing whatever we can to protect them.
Our aims are:
- to highlight the threat of overdevelopment in Richmond and Kingston;
- to persuade the Local Authority to protect our green spaces;
- to persuade the government to classify gardens as greenfield sites;
This website is designed to help you protect your own neighbourhood by providing you with a toolkit to challenge Developers and Planners.
