Every year, London is losing up to 30,000 gardens, equivalent to double the size of Hyde Park
At the moment, green spaces such as gardens or playing fields are designated as brownfield sites. This means developers can get permission to build on them more easily. We believe that green spaces are important for the environment and for a better quality of family and community life.
Our aims are:
- to promote the danger of overdevelopment so local authorities take notice
- to protect these vital areas by changing the planning laws
- to persuade the government to classify gardens as greenfield sites
This website is designed to make these aims possible in providing you with the knowledge and the tools to help preserve our green spaces
